The Starfish 360 Awards Program is designed to recognize the valuable work being accomplished by the Starfish community in the areas of student success and retention.
At Starfish, we pride ourselves on the power of our community. The work that our clients are doing every day to make a difference in the lives of students is measurable and real. Through the Starfish 360 Awards Program, we seek to shine a spotlight on this great work, enable others to learn from best practices, and celebrate professional accomplishments.
This award symbolizes the innovation that is possible when an institution combines people, process, and technology to make a difference in student success and retention.
The Starfish 360 Awards Program is open to both individuals and teams who are employed by an institution that currently has a license to the Starfish system (e.g., Starfish EARLY ALERT and/or Starfish CONNECT).
A total of three institutions will be recognized as winners of the Starfish 360 Awards. Each winning institution will receive a $1,000 stipend to be used toward a program that the institution has in place to support its student success programs. In addition, based on the number and quality of responses, the judges may determine an honorable mention distinction. Honorable mentions will receive a $500 stipend per institution with no more than two institutions being recognized. All submissions must include a description of how the stipend will be used by the institution.
Winners (including honorable mentions) of the Starfish 360 Awards Program will be recognized in the following ways: a press release, email communication to the Starfish community, inclusion in the quarterly Starfish newsletter, and a presence on the Starfish Web site. Winners (including honorable mentions) will also be invited to present a Web presentation to the Starfish community and those interested in joining the Starfish community.
The submission deadline for the 2013 Awards Program closed on July 19, 2013. Check back in the Spring of 2014 for more information about the next submission process.
