Sales Representatives

(full-time and part-time positions available)

Location: Arlington VA or Your home office

Starfish Retention Solutions is on a mission to help colleges address the significant number of students that do not graduate from their institutions – ranging from an average of 70% not graduating from community colleges to 40% not getting their bachelors degree.  Our solutions directly impact this problem by helping the college to connect their students at-risk with the community members who can help.

Use your sales skills, charm, and persistence to get our innovative products into our clients’ hands.  You must be comfortable both making cold calls all day and using deep relationships of the executive team to open doors.  Your role will be to generate interest, qualify prospects, create a vision for the client, and close the sale.  Software prices range from $3,000 - $32,000 annually.  This is a new company and a new product line, so you’ll be pioneering our sales approach!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full cycle sales from prospect to close.
  • Perform prospecting activities and lead management activities including cold calling and inbound call/email follow-up.
  • Demonstrate our products’ value through phone calls and online.
  • Consistently meet revenue and activity targets.
  • Work in a team environment, collaboratively evolving our marketing and sales processes and approaches.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years business-to-business sales experience required.
  • Prior experience selling into or working in Higher Education desirable.
  • Prior use of solution selling methodologies and sales automation tools (e.g. Salesforce.com) desirable.
  • Bachelors required.
  • Excellent phone and writing skills.
  • Understanding of web technology, enterprise integration, and enterprise software preferred.
  • Part-timers must supply their own computer, work phone, and high-speed internet access.
  • Will require travel to industry conferences and major prospects, once qualified.
