Opportunity:

Starfish Retention Solutions, Inc., a growing education technology company based in Arlington, VA (near Metro), is seeking someone to use their persistence, sales skills, and winning personality to continue our sales momentum. Your role will be to generate interest, qualify prospects, create a vision for the client, and close the sale. Software prices range from $9,000 - $50,000 annually. Most of your work is phone, email, and web based with occasional travel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage full cycle sales from prospect to close.
  • Perform significant prospecting activities and lead management activities including cold calling and inbound call/email follow-up.
  • Demonstrate our products' value through phone calls and online.
  • Consistently meet revenue and activity targets.
  • Document all activity rigorously in Salesforce.com.
  • Work in a team environment, collaboratively evolving our marketing and sales processes and approaches.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 2-5 years business-to-business sales experience required.
  • Inside sales experience desired.
  • Prior use of solution-selling methodologies and sales automation tools (e.g. Salesforce.com).
  • Bachelors required.
  • Excellent phone and writing skills.
  • Understanding of web technology, enterprise integration, and enterprise software preferred.
  • Will require travel to industry conferences and major prospects, once qualified.
