Starfish EARLY ALERT includes the following key features:

	Manual & Automatic Flag Raising with Flag Lab. Allow instructors, advisors and other members of a student’s support network to manually raise flags based on observed behaviors (e.g., change in appearance). Flags can also be raised automatically based on student activity within the course management system (e.g., grades, log-ins). Use the Flag Lab to leverage flags that are created by other institutions within the Starfish community. Want to use a flag that is not in Starfish today? Starfish will design, test and deploy it in usually less than 24 hours. If it meets your needs, the flag will be incorporated into a production release.
	Attendance Tracking. Record which students attended class or arrived late, two common risk indicators, and set up flags to automatically notify you of students with attendance concerns in one or more courses.
	Intervention and Cohort Management. Document the full intervention process for every flag that is raised, including the ultimate resolution. Track the progress of particular student populations (e.g., Achieving the Dream, athletes, TRIO).
	Central Student Folder with Student Notes. View and manage student records and interactions (e.g., flags, courses, grades, notes, appointment history) from a single location. Write notes about a student that can be kept private. Or share notes with other members of a student’s success network.
	e-Learning Analytics and Dynamic Reporting. Tap into the wealth of data living in a course management system. Gain insight into which courses and assignments are the biggest obstacles to student success, so that the flags you design are based on your historical roadblocks. Access trend reports and analytics, allowing campus administration to track at-risk students, utilization of support services, and the impact these services have on grades and performance.
